Room is clean, AC is working, hot water flowing nicely, beds are in fine condition...over all with such affordable price, this hotel is incredible. The sink's pipe is funny tho ????

Old Hotel from 1997, limited parking space. Dont expect much from melati 1 hotel.
Hot water, ac work good. Free wifi. Friendly staff. Book cheaper from traveloka.
U need req to reception for towel and soap. No breakfast available. Small hallway.
Traditional Massage, rent car available.

I've been hotel hopping everytime i visit Solo, to know which hotel is better with the same range of price. And I've got to tell you that this is the worse ???? well, this is an old hotel. But i believe supposedly they can renovate the room one by one.

Positive values first:
• location is great,
• the room is spacious with very high ceiling,
• you can sit in front of your room if you want to smoke,
• they have wifi,
• they gave me a welcome drink (tea).

Okay, now the negative stuff.
• I stayed at room no 15. They will tell you that it's THE ONLY ROOM ON THE FIRST FLOOR WITH HOT WATER. Be careful, there's a BED BUG there. I changed room at 12.30AM.
• I don't mind if i don't have a tv in my room, but since there's a tv in the room, i will state the condition. It's an old tv, with no remote in the first room and in the 2nd room it's broken, only local channels.
• AC, it made quite a noise in the beginning, but calm in the end. My advice is, don't turn it off.
• You need to mix the hot water u0026 cold water in a bucket. Because the shower is only cold water. And there's another tap for hot water.
In my 2nd room, the bathroom's door is already broken u0026 there's no wastafel.
• They will give you 2 soap bar u0026 3 small size of a very old towel.
• breakfast is tea u0026 slices of bread with some smear of chocolate. Unfortunately, none of them taste great.

Okay, so you might be thinking that I'm such a whiny person, but let me tell you the reason:
They have different prices between internet u0026 direct booking. The cheaper price is online booking but you will only get the 2nd floor. If you come directly, you can choose any floor, but the price is higher. So i thought i will get a better room if i come directly, but I was wrong ????

Excellent value hotel with a restful inner courtyard garden and beautiful art deco features. Clean and perfectly located with charming staff to help tourists at any time.

You can directly do reservation and check-in. Little large room. Musholla is available. The owner is so humble. The location is so strategic in the centre of the city. Just need to walk to Kraton Museum, Kampung Batik Kauman, and Pasar Klewer.
But the cleanliness of the room's bed sheets, floor, and bathroom should need improvement. Mosquitoes around.

The hotel seems ancient ????
I dont know is it the design or the hotel was truely old and maintained to be. For the facilities, still far from equipped, but it might be because the price which is categorized cheap
