Regrettably, I booked a week’s stay. I asked to look at the room before checking in. Looked quite worn, but figured I could deal with it for a week. Checked-in and proceeded to the room. Sitting down, suddenly there were swarms of mosquitoes all around me. I returned to the front desk to inform them about the mosquitoes and they requested I pay for my stay. Asking if I could pay by atm or credit card and they declined. They showed me their severely damaged u0026 dusty card swiper that obviously had not been used in ages. All of the TV channels came in fuzzy. The front desk said the hot water for showers was broken (and maybe being repaired tomorrow). That was it. They agreed I could cancel my booking without any fee. Tired and frustrated, I told them I would check out the hotel across the street and then come back for my bags. They agreed. I checked it out, picked up my stuff from this hotel and never looked back.
