For those wondering if the museum is really closed, it is definitely closed. We tried asking if we could go in for a photo but were turned away. I’m sure it’s an interesting museum so hopefully it reopens soon.

A historic museum for tobacco in Indonesia. The main building was influenced by Dutch colonial style and now is preserved as historical site. They also have art gallery at the back of the museum, cafe and souvenirs shop which sell a lot of interesting stuffs.

You can also enjoy a good scenery outside of the museum. They also have a miniature or the statue (..?) of the tobacco made in this museum which you will the old vibe here. A good place to visit, free of charge and you can learn a lot.

This museum is about the origin of cigarettes and its industry development in Indonesia (specifically this Sampoerna brand), the tour guide will accompany you to stroll around. Enough space for parking lot and clean prayer room.

This museum used to be a part of Sampoerna’s old office/factory complex. One part of the building used to be a movie theatre. The exhibits are interesting and all related to Sampoerna family and business. If you come before 1 PM, you may see the actual production process inside a factory. It’s better to ask the attendant to give you a guided tour, because they can give a broader information on the museum. There is a cafe and museum store inside the complex. Recommended!

Product museum for the one who love cigarette. The main building was previously the factory. Then the small - wing buildings were the house for cigarette owner and their family.
The museum is free. Clean and very informative.
Nice place for people who love photography.
They also have bus city tour, free as well. Just simply call the museum and order for city tour or come to museum and order for city tour.
The museum staff will give you the city tour ticket so you can hop on the city tour bus.

Really cool exhibit of how the family built up their tobacco empire from a small food stall. You can ask for a tour (the folks at the door are tour guides????) English and Bahasa Indonesia. The while tour is free

There's a shop and cafe, the cold Brew white coffee is amazing and worth trying

They also have a heritage tour bus. 3 different timings to different locations. Weekday and weekends have different routes to explore different heritage sites. This is also free

This is a definite must on your visit to Surabaya. Nice museum and factory floor that shows how hand rolled cigarettes are made. They also have a nice cafe with some amazing cold brews.

They offer free tours of other surabaya monuments - do take advantage of that
