Epic Place to Dine-In. Let’s Talk Why.

Firstly, FOOD.

The Braised Chicken was amazing: the chicken was very tender and not dry but most of all, the combination of the chicken together with the Caulifower Puree and this amazing potato and Cardamom Sauce. Very Scrumptious 10/10. also, wondering why the menu on the website is different from the menu we saw in person. Not complaining, just curious.

Also ordered the Ravioli Pomodoro, the tomato flavoring was a little too strong to my liking but I think the ravioli was really nice.

Lastly, the Seafood Brodetto. The Soup was perfect for the cold raining morning. I ordered some soup to warm up and it was really nice. The soup itself was super scrumptious with this little spice. I’d go into detail of what it tasted like but I’m afraid I might get it wrong. The clams and the crabs were also really good and fresh :)

Overall, the food was very scrumptious.

SECONDLY, Tea

They had this amazing collection of Tea Tin on their shelfs sat next to. Amazed by the abundance of the tea collection this place had. Ordered two types of green tea: no.42 u0026 no.44. Even more amazed by how we got samples of the tea leaves and could smell it. No.42 carried a fruity, flowery aroma while no.44 carried ashy smell. Both TEAS were amazing aroma-wise and taste was fine as well.

FINALLY, Sustainability. Kommunal 88 is for sure ticking all the boxes: sustainable seafood commitment, WWF, waste 4 change, and etc. I’m surprised by the takeout initiative they’ve installed. Felt full so took soup out for takeout. They put into this cardboard takeaway box and inside this ceramic container?? They added a fee for the container we brought home and, the waiter said that if we brought it back to the restaurant, they would pay us back the fee pay we paid for the container. I thought this was an amazing initiative they created in order to promote reuse of containers and also return it if we dont reuse it so it can be reused by the restaurant. A great way to reduce waste, recycle, and reuse

Anyway overall, place gets 5/5 stars.

Good place for quick breakfast
- ambience : 8,5 vintage industrial style
- food : 8 only try coffee and croissant, the texture is perfect
- service : 8,5. Visit at 7am the staff are ready
- Wifi : 1. Don't expect to work here, wifi speed only 0,04 Mbps, maybe they have technical issue. I ask the staff she said don't know, never try

The owner JC is an amazing host. Great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a nice meal with good wine. Best item on the menu is the lemon black coffee, amazing. We have been for breakfast, lunch and a few dinners - never had a bad experience. Also, the easy parking is nice too.

One of my favorite place to hang in kemang area! The place is easy to find, they also have valet service for free. As usual, the service is great, and the place is clean, too. Choose the outdoor seating because the indoor seating is hotter eventho they have AC.

When i went there, about 12 P.M., some of their pastries are already sold out. Tried their apple pie and it's delicious, not too sweet, balanced with a hint of sour. Sadly, the pastry is cold. I think they didn't re-heat it.

The foods here are delicious, they also have seasonal menus. i've visited here for several times and always satisfied with the food. But for this time, i'm quite dissapointed. I ordered cacio e pepe with additional pork. Turned out the dish is too salty. The sauce is a lil bit salty, but the most disappointing is the pork chunks. The pork chunks is soooo salty, it tastes just like ikan asin ((salted fish)) ((without the fishy smell, ofcourse)). Even my partner said it's too salty. I have ordered the same dish before, but at that time (the first time i tried the dish), it's not that salty. So idk if they changed their recipe, or there was a problem in the kitchen the time i visited.

Loved the complexity of flavors in the all the dishes. Beautiful plating. Kids thought they would still be hungry after the pasta but were surprised to find they were full. Good quality food can do that. :)

Highly recommended!
