Finally we went to this always crowded bakso restaurant. Luckily we got an empty lot by the sidewalk to park our car. We went inside and the waiter opened the door and greeted us. At first glance, we surprised with the atmosphere and design of the dining table and the counter where we ordered. Bakso went to upper class. Its design reminded us to one of the famous ramen udon restaurant in surabaya. Then we placed an order, bakso urat, bakso wagyu, gorengan with beef broth, my kid ordered mie asin. We went to cashier and paid our orders, kind of surprised when the cashier told us how much we had to pay. Then we paid it, my wife went to condiments table to get sambal, they have sambal ijo and regular sambal.
We sat down and started to taste the thick beef broth and meatballs. At first the broth tasted kind of unusual but gradually my tongue got used to the taste of the broth. Its thick and beefy, we like light broth, tho. We disappointed with the bakso urat, not too much urat in the bakso. We like the wagyu bakso, taste light and not too beefy. The gorengan was one their highlights, we like it. The two sambal were not that spicy. Then we tasted my kid's mie asin, my wife liked it, but for me it's too salty. Overall we've been in so many warung bakso in surabaya and sidoarjo, it's a bold move for boedjangan to open bakso restaurant with high class concept in this city with lots of famous warung bakso. For us this place is not cheap compare to other warung bakso with better bakso urat and beef broth.
