Delicious chicken soto! But it's pricey.. and the owner doesn't look so familiar w/ their customers (but maybe bc he feels that he's a chicken soto's legend in Semarang *judge by his pics back when he served chicken soto to public officials *vice central java governor etc.)

Common soto semarangan style but with tons of pepper in it.

Taste-wise: decent
Portion: nope. Even too small for common soto semarang in my opinion.
Side dish: abundant
Location: warung style, "riverside" stall
Price: way overprice, considering all of the above.
Worth it? BIG NO. There are bunch of Soto Semarang style which offer bigger value in terms of taste, portion, side dish, and location. Highly not recommended.

Well known Soto for Semarang Area. A little bit spicy with distinguished small bowl serving.

The place is minimalist so you will probably end up in one table with stranger,but the soto though is on another level. No wonder a lot of famous people come here (or at least to the branch). Waiter is also good. A little bit pricey for a soto but its worth it. Recomended for tourist looking for local food.

The crown jewel of Semarang culinary, for me at least.
A beautiful mix between the spicy savoury satay and steamy yet light bodied soto broth
