I visited Semarang Zoo two times with my niece. Also known as Kebun Binatang Mangkang. Price ticket is quite cheap, around 20-30 thousand rupiah (depends on weekday/weekend).

Although the variety of animals are not quite much, but this place is quite comfortable to spend quality time with your family. They also provides some facilities like mosque, outdoor and indoor arena playground, mini train, water rickshaw, etc. I barely find restroom in this place. There are few restroom, but most of them are unclean and really smell. I solemnly hope management will fix this problem..

Pretty disappointed with the zoo. Place are scattered with trash, the animal looks unhappy and malnourished. The animal show could be a potential but needs more preparation and managed professionally

This zoo has potential to be a good zoo. However, the cleanliness of this zoo is the worst I've ever seen. Mininum water availability in the toilet and praying area also is a big no for me. Animal wellfare also need to be improved since these animal looks like in poor management. I've also never seen a cow so thin in a zoo before.

Also, more attraction needed for playplay area. There is just not many attraction there.

Ticket price : 20k (Mon-Fri), 25k (Sat-Sun), 30k (Special Holiday)

Mangkang Zoo Semarang can be an interesting destination to visit with the family. Apart from traveling, this zoo can also educate children to get to know animals more closely. Apart from the many animals available, the Mangkang bonbin also offers several interesting rides

Poor zoo. Seriously, don't go here. This is the worst zoo I've ever visited. Dirty and not maintained well. I suggest you to visit Gembira Loka zoo for a better experience.
