Famous place for mutton sate but when the sate was just so so, a bit chewy. Also ordered their gule and sate buntel (minced meat sate) but they were not special.

Best Sate Kambing soo far. Tender and juicy. Big chunks. Taste really good. Not soo pricey, considered their big names and taste. Will come back again. A must visit when you are in Kota Lama area in Semarang.

Top recommendation of Sate Buntel in Semarang. Must try! Despite the price is expensive, it worth the taste and ambiance you’ll get! Order sate campur daging if you want to combine Meat Sate and Sate Buntel

An old school restaurant which only seels sate and gule kambing.
The portion is enourmous!
Not cheap but big portion and delicious!
Park in communal parking spot and walk there.

Old-fashioned satay in kotalama of Semarang. Favorite menu: sate buntel (shredded meat covered with fat-tissue), sate campur (mix satay between meat, fat or liver), liang tea (cold). Prices during visit 2021: sate buntel @47k, sate campur 75k/portion, balungan sumsum mix 65k. Rasanya josss.. uenak. Meat is tender u0026 juicy.

Personally, place is old and seems antique. Thats all.
Remaining about the food is standard average for me.

Top notch mutton satay and gulai with history. Still the best in town. Highly recommend to try sate buntel, minced mutton meat covered with fat. Price is on the splurge side, however it still retain the classic taste, still worth it with current atmosphere. Other dishes are goat brain ????in gulai soup. The meat gulai is rather hard to chew.
