Don't ever stay here! Owner has a sweet welcoming face, but his responses to guests' complaints tell you how big his ego is, how arrogant he is, and how He thinks He is actually the one doing everyone a favour!
The place, even for backpackers is a pretty dire place. It has been tarted up, but beyond that, the place is dirty, run down, and a rip-off - we found newer budget hotels, yes hotels at much lower prices, so why would anyone even want to stay here?
I would like to see the owner's doctor wife stay in one of the so-called backpacker, crumbling plaster rooms. Yup, it would never happen!
No reception after hours, and I mean 9pm! We had to ring the bell for five minutes at midnight, as the owner had his headphones on, as we had no blankets. Staff are pretty slow, and also assumed they had the right to take our photos for God knows what purposes on check out, even though we had to tell them we needed some help with our bags, like 3 times, and we're unsatisfied with our stay.
Free breakfast is a joke, and a sugary molotov cocktail of yellow, or red sauce assumedly to be squirted, or toasted in the free cheap white bread.
I think you need a reality check my friend, and maybe need to take some cues from your wife in how to respond to customers, and run a backpackers hostel, or is it a homestay that you run?
I know you will reply stating something that wins you the argument, and we really don't care, as that old saying 'the customer is always right,' speaks for itself!
