If i would like to bring family, i would choose this one with variation of menu.
They have
1) original one
2) crab meat type (cannot really taste the crab except for the price experience and sweeter than the original one ????????)

They not only sell loenpia but also wide variation of souvenir from all around central java. So u can get lunch and go back to airport from here.

Taste: 4 standard good. (Just the original one enough)
Price :???????? (except the crab meat type)

Very good lunpia semarang, with taste stay true with traditional senses but improved. It is comparatively tastier than other vendors. The skin is completely crispy and the filling is perfectly cooked. Size of each lunpia is also relatively big compared to other vendors, and they're not cheap on the condiments either. You can ask as much chive and chilies you like, they will be happily obliged.

Seems like the main restaurant has been converted mostly into snack counters because most people buy the lunpia to go at the hawker they set up in front of the alleyway. They still keep the place interesting and clean though.

The most delicious lumpia in the city of Semarang, there are fried and wet stuffed with chicken, egg, mushrooms or crab meat, to eat in only a few places and here sells various kinds of regional specialties for souvenirs

It's a little hidden in a small alley but I think you won't miss it because they have a takeaway stand right at the entry of the alleyway.

You could order 2 types of Lumpia (spring roll), either fried ("lumpia goreng") or fresh ("lumpia basah" - it means "wet" but don't worry, it's not wet in any form).

I personally prefer fried, but do try both types as they really are quite different flavours. Use the condiments they give along with the lumpia and just mix/eat the way you like it. Don't get put off by the slimy sauce :)

Note: this place also sells lots of other packaged snacks.

The lunpia was just ok. Not really my typical of food, tend to sweet and oily. But it's one of the legend food in Semarang, so you should try at least once if you visit Semarang. I do not recommend the lunpia basah

heared this store selling legend snack of Semarang.... loenpia..I tasted the original and mozzarella...its delicious but mostly I like the sauce. The place providing traditional snack, either... but it's to small for dine-in customer.

The restaurant is not too big, because they also provide snacks and Oleh2 that you can bring home. We also can find traditional beverage such wedangnuwuh, jahe, etc.
If you don't like rebung you will like the lumpia thatbthey make.
But if you like rebung I'll suggest you to try another store.
