In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in town to dig in some Makassarese cuisine. Their best seller is Coto Makassar (a makassarese soup with seasoned broth made of peanut and spices, mixed with beef and offal stew). They serve it with rice, ketupat (rice cake), or even Buras on the weekend (same as ketupat but more savoury) to make it more authentic. There are also other authentic good menu such as Sop Konro and Mie Kering Kriuk.
To complete your meal, try their signature Makassarese desserts such as Es Pisang Ijo, Es Pallu Butung, Es Soya Cincau, and Kue Barongko.
It is located at the heart of the city, the vibe is good, and the prices are affordable. You can pay with cash or card. Must try!
