The Guesthouse is really nice, with a beautiful garden and cozy, comfortable and spacious common areas furnished with big sofas, tv, pool table.
I'm staying in a clean dormitory room, window facing the quiet street, 4 comfy beds, air conditioning unrestricted, big bathroom attached with really hot shower, towel and toilet paper provided.
As a bonus to all these positive aspects... the staff is super friendly and kind!

New House is such a great place, and we stumbled upon it by chance!
Great spacious and clean rooms, friendly staff and really good services to reach the Mentawais and much more in the area!

A pool table on the first floor which is super fun for those relaxing days.

Highly recommend staying here if you are in Padang.

Nice place close to the beach and some nice restaurants. Rooms are clean and air-conditioned. Super friendly English speaking staff who are always there to help out. I've been staying here every year before going to the Mentawai islands and will come again. Cheers

Good beds, nice bathroom with showzr and western toilet, pleasant common areas with pool table, there is also a kitchen.
Walking for 5 minutes you'll find plenty of restaurants, grocery stores.
Bicycle shop (good for touring cyclists) and travel agency just opposite the street.
Very decent prices and the staff was very nice and helpful

One of the best place we've been in Indonesia so far. We are travelling for 4 months here and it's on our top 2. The cleanest homestay ever. The young guy in charge is cleaning litteraly every 5 minutes. The rooms are cool, bathroom good, the living area is great and cosy, pool table, very nice decoration, very cool music, great kitchen to use. We felt like home for two nights which is great after 2 years travelling. The guys there are really cool. Perfect place to chill out and rest! Good location near good street food, food court and just near by the beach. Just 15 min walk from pasar Raya.
Only bad point, I advice to make the laundry elsewhere as it's more pricey that elsewhere and the clothes were still smelling...
I highly recommend this place. Probably the best place to stay in Padang!! Thank you Bruno and your team for welcoming us ;)

Awsome staff and spacious areas. Since I am cheap I stayed in a cheap room which is good value for money but still has room for improvements. If I had to stay a night in Padang again I would definetly go to the New Surf House again. Maybe I would choose a fancier room this stime...

New house Padang is the greatest place in Padang for those who like to chill out in a cool place with cool people. The location is the best in Padang, close to the ferry for the Mentawai islands, and sourrounded by restaurants. The rooms are clean, comfortable with AC. The team is helpfull, professionnal, full of advices and warm smiles. They will give you good plans to surf in Mentawai. So go there without a doubt.
