Came here for 1 night on the way back from the Mentawai to Kuala Lumpur because it had a very good rating and was closer to the hotel.
The place is behind a Main Street and feels quiet and secluded.
A pleasant welcome form the host and her children.
The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The toilet was ok, but the shower unfinished as it seemed you needed to stand in a bucket, however there were baths and shower out in the corridor.
Very good air conditioning, but did find some of the handles and taps plastic and fragile, coming away when you try to turn them!
Breakfast was nice at a small extra cost, and there is a food court and hotel where you can eat and drink only a few hundred metres away across the main dual carriageway

Actually traveling is a hard work. Therefore sometimes we just need someone to take care of us. To my happiness during my debilitating journey through West Sumatra, Suci appeared on my path.
This is an extraordinary woman, incredibly kind, very intelligent, honest and open. As often happens in our lives the first meeting caused me some worries, because her appearance in traditional Muslim dress created stereotypical thoughts inside my head. But just for a few minutes. As soon as she spoke to me in excellent English I immediately understood what a modern and wise person is standing in front of me.
Undoubtedly the Musa Enda Bu0026B is her reflection and therefore can surely take a title of the best guesthouse in Padang. It has everything you need and even more: spacious rooms with private bath and hot water, air conditioning and a comfortable bed, bathroom accessories and toilet paper, TV, tables, chairs, wardrobes and even hangers. In general it's a complete home corner for the weary traveler. In addition Suci prepares an excellent breakfast for your taste and choice which will wait for you even if you don't get up at 7 am.
But the most important thing is the attitude of the hostess to her guests: sincere care and help in everything. Almost mother custody! For example I had to extend the Indonesian visa and Suci personally took me by her car to the Immigration Department. She found out everything needed to do, explained it to me and actually took me by the hand helping to get various copies and documents. She even personally got me to another hotel and negotiated about motorbike rent for me. Suci helped me every day in large and small matters and even explained local traditions and religious dogmas which are mostly incomprehensible to people from another part of the world.
In general now I have the persistent feeling that my favorite aunt lives in Padang. And the next time when I will be in Sumatra I will definitely come to visit her.
There is no doubt this is the best place in all of Padang!

Very tidy and nice place. But the best here is Owner. Very helpful lady with big wisdom about - not only - all surroindings. Tasty breakfast was included to price. All fascilites was clean. Quiet and nice place.

Definitely have to stay in this homestay if you go to Padang city, it's in the center of the city, the house is always clean and the owner is friendly and humble, the breakfast is yummy and it's cheap, thank you musa enda ????
