Fully historical under protection by the local government due to many historic events have been done here since ages.. as well will be always continue in this mosque..
some renovation projects are underway to make some beautification of this monument without changing the original design and architectures..
all is welcome in this mosque but for more than hundred years this mosque is associated with the descended of Indian communities in Padang (etnis keturunan India in Padang) have made this mosque as their central ritual and religious activity to keep their traditions alive with them as well as also local residents have been participating each and every events too..
One of the famous events have been held here every year for the past decades that is called "acara Serak Gulo".. but due to the Corona pandemic this event have been cancelled..
