A really beautiful and very popular beach for locals, but unfortunately poorly managed and limited facilities and services provided for visitors. Cleanliness is not maintained and even trash is everywhere. However, the visitors seem to enjoy hanging out with their friends or family here. Some play ATV (for 100K / hour) fly kites, or sit back and relax enjoying the view.

About 30min grab ride but make sure you keep the taxi driver with you for return journey. No Internet reception there. We hired the car driver to stay with us half a day. Nice for surfing and slow walk to island. Simple food avail on the small island. Kumpung style setting. There is a story about a princess and her boy friends death. The island is accessible by walking during low tide.....

It is nice place to visit, but then when the night comes, there is limited lights. From the last time i visited here, there are some improvement in public facilities especially for pedestrian area. Local guide told us that those facilities will be finished at the end of the year.

NOT WORTH A SINGLE PENNY. Believe me, years later, Malin kundang statue will be gone.
I am shocked, surprised, disgusted. I couldn’t believe on how people treated the site. People are free to step and sit on it. No respect.
Access to the site is horrible, jammed, narrow road, flooded.
Parking lot and the beach is muddy.
It’s full of trash and stinks so bad. It smells so awful. The beach is full of vendors. The water is brownish and dirty. I wish I never visited this kind of place. I attached some photos, you can judge it by yourself. Do not waist your time and energy to visit

Not a place to sunbathe. Most people come here to surf, sit and watch the scenery and waves. The water is pretty calm if you would want to swim. But not many people were at the time I was there

Beautiful beach located in the south of Padang City. A lot of activities including riding horses/ATV, playing kites or swimming/surfing in the beach.
Normally it will be crowded during holiday season or weekend. Recommended place to visit. There are stone which related to the local story where a man was cursed to be a stone.

Closest beach to town. Great place to relax, for those who got less free time. The main road is recently fixed. You can visit Pulau Pisang by foot in the morning. All green and blue. Perfect.
