Wandering around this hour searching for best stop to have supper and suddenly one #warkop catches my eyes. ????????????
.
This warkop is not that traditional warkop (abbreviation of warung kopi) that we've known which are easily found on streetside.
This warkop's more likely to be a café and it is named @warkop.mamak which is located at Jl. Merak Jingga.
I'm having this #mieaceh becek which is recommended by one of my 'Food Ohana'.
The thick yellow noodle are served in rich, #hot and #spicy curry-like soup.
The #bumbu spice mixture consist of black pepper, red chili pepper, shallot, garlic, cardamom, caraway, cumin and star anise.
The #noodle and spices are cooked with bean sprouts, tomato, cabbage and celery.
Then sprinkled with fried shallot, and served with #emping , slices of shallots, cucumber and dash of kaffir lime.
It's slightly sweet, hot, not too spicy and seasoned perfectly.
Thankyou @pemanjalidah for recommending me this dish. ????????
And I will try the Nasmi Pekanbaru and Mie Lontong Goreng which are recommended by @tommyfu9 later on my next visit.
I highly recommend you guys to try this out.
And last I want to thank #warkopmamak for your kind hospitality and good job in re-branding the image of warkop.

After a long and tiring day of work, finally can get back to mamak ????????
Not to my real mom of course..
I'm back to @warkop.mamak at Jl. Merak Jingga.
Tonight I'm having this #lontong #mie goreng becek for dinner.
This dish is so unique.
I can't think of how does #indomie with lontong stir-fried with an egg taste like?
But believe me or not..
It works somehow.
The lontong is soft and firm.
The #instantnoodle is cooked to perfection - not too soft and still has a bite to it.
Both of them are stir-fried in homemade "mamak" sauce and reduced to slightly thick consistency.
It's slightly sweet, slightly spicy, unique, delicious and addicting.
And also the additional crackers, pickled shallot u0026 pickled carrot brings another layer of flavor.
I highly recommend you guys to try this out and shout out to young and handsome foodie @tommyfu9 for recommending me this dish.
PS. He's searching for his soulmate. And for those who read this.. who knows she is you.

Hi Tummers..
What do you have for dinner?
Tonight I'm having this #Nasmi Pekanbaru from @warkop.mamak with my foodies ohana.
In #PekanBaru , they call this #minas ..
So basically it's #noodle and #rice been fried together in their secret mamak sauce.
It is sided with pickled shallots u0026 carrots, cucumbers, and crackers.
It also topped with the perfectly cooked sunny side-up egg.
Portion-wise is good.
The #indomiegoreng is not too soft which I #love and the #nasigoreng is #delicious .
The #eggyolk is still runny ????????
This nasmi's slightly #spicy and seasoned to perfection.
