Must visit place for all visitors if you want to learn more about the history of North Sumatra. Lots of connection with Malaya. Tribes, culture and sultans lineage are laid out here

Reasonable local museum which costs 10000 rupiah for tourists to enter. Most exhibits have English translations but don't expect to spend longer than an hour here. Good wet weather activity

If you’re museum goers and love history, we suggested spending for about an hour here. They covered many historical aspects in Indonesia. The place is big but some of the section, they didn’t turn on the AC so prepared to be drenched in sweat like we did.

This museum has it all, everything about north sumatera, from everykinds of tribe to everykinds of herbs. The docent tell the history perfectly and since we go to this museum with our kindergarten students the docent knows how to explain interestingly. Just a little suggest for me the public bathroom needs more improvement. But after all we satisfied with the presentation. Great job.

First at all you have to pay entrance ticket Rp.3.000/person. Nice experience for learning history. Clean enviroment.

Visiting State Museum of North Sumatera can give you more complete information about the culture of this region. I think all school must have program to visit museums and historical places
