- Standard taste but quite pricey
- Fresh quality ingredients. Probably the only place I let my toddler eat sushi in Medan
- Spent Rp. 462.000 for 3 people
- Service was very good though. Staffs were very attentive and friendly

great Japanese restaurant in the heart of Medan capitol. The place was not that spacious, but it has this interesting open kitchen concepts where you could see the chefs cook in the middle. came here solo on dinner time, Amazingly all the foods were delicious and top notch quality

FOOD
The food here is and has always been very well presented. All the time, the food that you ordered will look exactly like the ones in the pictures (which is miraculously rare in Medan).
One of the thing to take note of is; although the selection of food in the menu is not as extensive as Sushi Tei or Okinawa Sushi, Izumiya has it all!
Baffling as it may seem, they tailored the menu just nice enough to cater different people at different times of the day. Let's say you're an office worker looking to have a quick lunch, sushi and avocado salad is your best bet. Looking for comfort food? They've got hamburg steak and Ebi Tempura curry rice. They also do ToriQ styled kushiyaki if you'd like. Just desserts? Chocolate lava cake it is! All in all, every single item in the menu is well made by the chefs in Izumiya. For any time of the day, do give it a try.

DRINKS
First things first, their lemon mugicha is downright amazing. The quality of the green tea is also excellent. This is the only Japanese restaurant that serves Ramune soda in Medan. However, as a medium to high end Japanese restaurant, I think Izumiya should explore a more extensive range of teas and how to brew them.

SERVICE u0026 AMBIANCE
If there is one word to describe Izumiya, it is cozy. The staff members are very friendly. Service is prompt and precise. It feels very comfortable to dine here. There are booths available for a group of up to four to sit and the privacy is not bad at all. One thing I wish that Izumiya has is a private room to host events with VIP guests.

Overall, this is an amazing restaurant. Dining here makes me happy. This is what matters the most, am I right? ????

High standard Japanese food, possibly the first, in Medan. Enjoyed the lunch there with good service u0026 total covid prevention protocol - servers are wearing masks, head cover, and gloves. Prices are also not too expensive for the food quality.

One of the best Japanese resto in Medan. Well done! They adheres to the covid protocols strictly. Upon entering the resto, temp check and hand sanitizing are mandatory. Plus point of a measure only very few resto in Medan adopted is they provide free plastic mask holders for each guest. This shows how attentive their staffs to the guests. They also provide e-menu if you prefer ordering thru your phone. Kudos!

Their food quality is amazing. My favorite maki would be sushi bomb. You shouldn't miss their yakitori as well. The freshness of sashimi was okay, but not the freshest in Medan unfortunately. As someone who usually dislikes tamagoyaki (for its weird sweet taste), I surprisingly like theirs a lot! Well, the tamagoyaki was slightly modified into okonomiyaki with seafood stuffed inside, so the taste was savoury and very umami. The ramen broth was so flavorful as well. Overall, our dining experience was very splendid, so thank you Izumiya for bringing a fresh breeze into Medan's Japanese food scene. You deserve more exposure tbh!! We will be coming back!

A fancy japanese restaurant. You can feel it is "fancy and expensive", the moment you entered the restaurant. The foods served are delicious but the portion is quite small. I love their wasabi when mixed with sushi. However, I still don't think it is worth the money when I am comparing taste and price.

For me, one of the best sushi restaurants in town. The relaxed ambiance and interior design of the restaurant were comfortable. I’m ordered the ramen, sushi, and Ebi mental. All of these foods are great. I like they're ramen very much.
