Authentic taliwang restaurant that is popular amongst locals, but virtually unheard of by tourists.
The restaurant is 'hidden' in between rows of shops. You can easily missed it as you drive by if you don't look for it carefully.
Taliwang chicken in lombok is made from 1 whole chicken aged about 3 months. It is rather small in size and can easily be mistaken for a quail.

Very local, very good. The Taliwang chicken is really tasty and one of the best I ever tried. The original recipe is spicy you-can-die but you can ask the"manis" version. I did and enjoyed. With the chicken you can even order other food, I liked the grilled squids and side vegetables.

I was born in Mataram 28 years ago, yet this is the first time I visit this restaurant and amaze me how could I miss this place. Where I have been all this time ????
If you come and visit Lombok, I recommend you to drop by and enjoy the famous Ayam Taliwang.

Its our second time. It has tasty chicken. We loved the ayam bakar and the coconut liquid/sambal/kuah because its not too spicy compared to ayam plecing. This time we also had cumi-cumi (squid) and loved it.

I loved sambal beberuk and plecing kangkung in Lombok but not from this restaurant. The eggplant pieces are too big. While the plecing kangkung has too much shreded coconut on it. Behind all that, it tastes pretty good.

If you are looking for a better place than street vendors but not a fancy restaurant for ayam taliwang, this is the right choice.

This eatery offers Lombok typical cuisines that is often served with a lot of spice. We can have sop bebalung as well as ayam taliwang here. The taste is good but it is overpriced, I think.

Good cooking, but seemingly not real Kampong Chicken. A breed of Arab Chicken, similar look but far inferior in taste.
