Hidden gem in Makassar. It's quite difficult to find this place, but it's worth it. Don't expect to much with the 'place and parking lot', but when after taste their food, you'll know why it's worth it.

By far the perfect place to eat torajanese food in makassar without the hassle to go to toraja it has quiet a lot variety of pork cuisine, chicken, and vegetables too the food is delicious and with chili is perfect for spicy food lover
The place has torajanese signature food "babi papiong" a pork cooked in bamboo with black spices so it has a black color,although i would recommend the grilled pork, "rica-rica" pork , and "sayur nangka" and for the people who doesn't like too much lards on the pork you can order them lards free so it's very convenient than just eating lards
The place is quiet small and it's located in a small alley so big cars would have a hard time finding parking spot so bring smaller cars if you're going to visit here

I'm not a fan of this place.. it's a chaos on sunday and the service here is really bad, you have to 'battle' with other customers because they don't have number. The food is just okay

This place also known as Rumah Makan Kampung Rama by the local citizens. This is one of the best toraja food in Makassar. But the location is a little bit far from the urban area. Its located in a small alley so if u’re considering driving a car to this place then you have to park your car before the alley and you can reach the stall by walking, its not too far tho (they do have parking lot inside but its only for small car). The food was delicious, i would recommend babi rica and sayur nangka. The price is very affordable, 1 portion can be served for 2 persons. The steam rice was a little bit undercooked but they give you a free flow. :)

If you want to taste Torajan cuisine, especially pork dishes, Warung Alto Khas Toraja could be a good choice to have them. I've ordered the pork from this place by using food delivery service for several times. The portion including the rice is big with affordable price ????

Warung Alto provides variant of pork dishes, such as babi panggang, rica, kecap, pamarassan, along with duck, fish, and chicken. They also provide some vegetables as the companion for the pork, such as sayur pangi, paria, nagka, tuttu, ramas.

Here are what I tried :

Paket Hemat 2 (IDR 52,000)
In this package, we could choose one pork dish, one vegetables dish, and get the white rice along with sweet ice tea. I chose babi panggang (roasted pork) and sayur tuttu. Ther pork is tender and quite spicy with chili. Sayur tuttu is made from cassava leaves served with pork fat.

Babi Kecap (IDR 35,000)
Pork meat along with the fat part that is cooked in soy sauce. The pork has a tender texture as well.
