Rumah Makan New Lay is a homey Chinese food restaurant with big space that is located in a residential area. Street parking is available along the street at the opposite of this restaurant.

They provide variant of fried rice, pork (very recommended!), chicken, seafood, soup, vegetables dishes with different sizes depend on our needs. This restaurant is suitable for family or group as we could share together the dishes. They can accommodate large group as well.

I love all of their foods, especially the pork dishes, nasi goreng merah, and mie goreng Hokkian. Totally recommended!

In terms of food portion, it is undeniable that New Lay provide the most portion. The price accomodate the taste.

Fast service even though the restaurant is crowded. Will definitely come back again!

One of the best place to have fried rice and fried noodles in town. They also offer vegetarian dish. But surprisingly their vegetarian fried rice and fried noodles are far more expensive than the meat ones. That is such a bummer. Aside from that, it is an excellent place.

1 of the best for Chinese food resto category in my list. Whenever my family had the Occassion and need some Makassar traditional Chinese food this is the place to go!
I mean how can you resist that yummy Pork meatball and the rest of the menu such as New Lay Special Fried Rice/noodle, shrimp with mayonnaise, sapo tahu/tofu and many other else.
You can also order food directly to your home so they offer a complete package of service :)

Very slow service and the food only decent at best. It is tastier than most of the traditional cao mien kiosk but you can find better place to eat. The noodle kinda bland but the chili is good enough to compensate for the lacking taste. The place itself is roomy and fairly clean. The table is big and perfect for family size Chinese dinner.

Super tasty chinese food. Their nasi goreng (fried rice) is the most popular one and we love it. The big portion could be for 4-5 person while the small portion for max. 2 persons. Their calamari and pork balls also tasted good. We recommend you to order the friend rice and 2 or 3 side dishes to enjoy it together. The price range is quite affordable for "sharing" dishes. This place is recommended for casual dinner, always crowded and noisy. For moslem friend, just a little reminder they serve pork, while they have seafood or chicken instead
