Came to Floom on sunday afternoon in Feb 2022 for a cake, coffee and chat. We thought a cafe will deff have cake or light bites in the money. We thought wrong. As many cafe in Makassar, they have either one, cake or coffee, not both. Not a problem though.
We opted to order drinks instead. Iced cappucino, Ice Choco and what supposed to be an ultra refreshing: Limonada.
All drinks are flat, regular and forgetable, nothing special. Limonada was a huge dissapoinment with bitter taste because i suspect that it was made with one day too old lime (see pic). In a city where lime is accesible and cheap, i do not understand why a 'cool' space like that allowed to serve an easy drink with that quality. It is borderline disrespecful to think your customer wont notice and to me, it shows lack of service u0026 quality control.
Servers gathered around the service area chatting with one another, you need to scream to get their attention.
Floom collateral pics and video will lead you to expect a high quality products u0026 service and that is not what you will get. At least for me.
The space is good but lack of 'soul'. Perhaps hiring a good floor manager that can drive daily operation will tackle all problems.
Overall, a lot of room for improvement.
