not so many times I've been there, but the last time was the best experience I've ever had.
we were 6 of us, hiking together from many places, but all of us were living in Bali n did some hiking there together too sometimes, n Mt. Merbabu was the first time we hiked that close to my homeland.
everything was great.

This is not a tallest mountain in central java, he is most beatutifull mountain since there is view of merapi, sindoro, sumbing, etc and he has 3 sabana (if you start from suwanting trekking)

Did the trip in one day. Great experience. Well visible path and awesome panorama, including Merapi and Sumbing. Even see a monkey.

An amazing place, one of the mountains in Indonesia that has a beautiful savanna, although it takes a little effort to reach this place, but the scenery served will not disappoint. If the weather is sunny you can also see clearly the beauty of Mount Merapi from here.

It's beautiful, the right place for hiking. But you have to consider the weather forecast before going there.

Take nothing except photos
Kill nothing, except the time
Leave nothing, except your bitter memories.
And most of all, Bawa Turun Sampahmu, Gunung bukan tempat sampah.

Lovely hike (be prepared to get on all fours and scramble), great views, also met a number of local hikers who were really friendly and decided to adopt a lone female hiker :)

Tip: If bringing your own tent make sure it doesn't have a mesh opening... Made this mistake as a beginner and ended up being drenched in volcanic ash at night when the wind came up.
