This place is completely deteriorated. Almost all homes are broken, you cant go into them. In fact even coming close to them is undafe. Wild monkeys are jumping there too. The place has some kind of charm as hidden village but it doesnt cost what they ask for entrance. All photos that you see here are lie, the place looked like this probably 3 years ago but now it is completely different. They charge 175.000 rps for entrance and it doesn't cost it for sure. In fact, the place should be closed for entry. But they do want your money so they still try to charge. This is Indonesia, nothing is free for you, white man???? I took some pictures and those houses were in best condition, others were much much worse

As previous comment states that the place is going through renovation and rebuilding phase. They will hard hit by covid and with the lack of funding and investment, it’s a slow progress. Currently, they’re offering 50% discount for entrance. I think it still worth a visit, with the building unkept and nature taking over it gave the place another element and eerie vibe which was a fun experience. Plus, with less people you can wonder around freely. The lady at reception kindly gave us a tour detailing how things looked and operated pre covid. She mentioned they used to have different ethnic groups showcasing their lifestyle and artwork in the house they represent. Even more interestingly, these people actually lived in theses houses and maintained the house and surroundings. Unfortunately, with covid and lack of tourist they all had to move back home hence the unkept situation. I really hope this place can get back on its feet. It provides rich insight to many Indonesia’s ethnic groups way of life and opening up their cultural to the public.

Most of the houses are under extensive renovation. Each house represents the rich cultural heritage from each Indonesian ethnic. Some notable landmark like miniature of Borobudur temple from Central Java. Statue of Gajahmada and Indonesia founding fathers Soekarno u0026 Hatta.

I would not recommend visiting this place at the moment. It hasn't been maintained at all but they are still charging to enter. We asked for our money back immediately upon seeing the condition of the place but they said they can't return the money because they've lost so much during the pandemic...who hasn't.
It's not fair to say your open and charge entry fee if everything is broken and unkept.
Fee's were 50k per adult and 40k per child. (For domestic, more for foreigners)

Non-locals have get a 50% discount (350k --u003e 175k). All the activities are suspended and lot of buildings and monuments damaged, moldy or broken.
Nevertheless the people were very nice and we got a private tour! Since there are +- 10 visitors a day (pre-pandemic it was 4000 visitors a day).
I think three stars is fare, don't plan to visit it if you a tight schedule, but if you pass by it's worth it!

This place should be a wonderful place if it's maintained and kept and promoted, it's a beautiful park. I still hope the Balinese government takes notice of this incredible tourist
