Stumbled upon this gem while on a bike riding tour and very glad I made the stop. If you like carvings or art it’s worth a short visit.

This was an incredible display of a life spent creating art. We were able to meet I Made and although he had recently broke a leg he guided us verbally through the gallery making sure we saw and noticed all the most interesting pieces. I would imagine, if he was mobile, he would have happily shown us around. There is so much carving and painting on display here highlighting classic and contemporary Balinese art. A little ways out of town but worth the trip. Plenty of smaller wood carving shops to stop and see along the way!

Great place to learn Balinese arts and neet extraordinary artists from all around the world. Meet Gamang King, son of Made and learn the basics of wood carving. Or if you live to play music, you find really cool little music studio in this place.

Amazing place. Very interesting if you enjoy carved sculptures. The artist and the other workers were very kind and enjoyable to talk to.
