This monument was built on an area of u200bu200b14.6 hectares, at the initiative of the 2nd President of the Republic of Indonesia, Suharto. Built to remember the struggle of the Revolutionary Heroes who fought to defend the state ideology of the Republic of Indonesia, Pancasila from the threat of communist ideology. This monument is located in Lubang Buaya Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta. To the south is the headquarters of the Indonesian National Army, Cilangkap, to the north is Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, while to the east is Pasar Pondok Gede, and to the west is Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. Before becoming a historical museum, this place was an empty land or garden that served as the final dumping ground for the victims of the 30 September 1965 Movement (G30S).

The museum is poorly maintained. Need more concern from Indonesian government.

A really great museum with really haunting atmosphere. This museum was the place where about 7 generals got killed in coup by Communist party of Indonesia. The generals were tortured in place called 'Crocodile Hole'. There is monument to remember this tragic event. The museum itself full of diorama that filled with violence so I hope you prepare yourself, other than that this is really good museum.

Good places especially if you want to go for education purposes. The place is kids friendly, also wheelchair friendly. Kinda have refreshing air. Oh yaaa and the most important thing is CHEAP. IDR 5000 per person, plus IDR 3000 for motorcycle parking. This place is also have a lot of food tenant, so don't worry

this is a great place to be able to learn about Indonesian history, besides that the admission ticket is very cheap

Good place to learn the history of Indonesia. Served with many dioramas to get us to know the situation happened at that time. You can see the memorable well that used to bury the 7 generals.
