The Museum isn't big, but full of knowledge about the growing of the Chines and their contribution to Indonesia. It also displays antiques. But it can't be seen from the main road of TMII, coz located inside of Taman Budaya Tionghoa (Chinese cultural Park). The acces of entrance still poor even inside the area has some good museums. The toilets are poor, dirty and placed far behind the museum.

I like building. Just beside museum hakka but this one not maintained very well. Dust and old dirty are the reason. But inside you can see so many collection about taman budaya tionghoa, even i just know after visit that ateng actually is Chinese. You can see other collections. Too bad they need to be preserved well because in many years the collections might getting in bad condition

Museum Cheng Ho was located in Taman Budaya Tionghoa TMII, together with Museum Peranakan Indonesia, both share this vintage architecture large mansion. Standing in front of the main entrance of this building is the statue of Admiral Cheng Ho (1371-1435) facing a very large artificial lake in this park.

The museum display the history of the first arrival of Chinese people to Indonesia, and where Islam were first introduced and spread by the Hui people from China, where the majority of the Hui people from China were muslims. In Museum Cheng Ho and Peranakan Indonesia are also displaying the start process of the construction of The Tionghoa Cultural Park TMII, and all other things like, pottery, batik, interior style of a vintage Chinese building, old photos, memorabilia, etc.

There so much to learn from this place, which I think it is very important, about the fact of the first Chinese people who settled down in Indonesia, and about the famous Chinese descendent. I think some of the facts in this place should be display in a school curriculum, in Indonesia history lesson.

(Translated by Google) Cheng Ho Museum which is located in the Chinese Garden TMII adjacent to the Haka Museum contains the history of Admiral Cheng Ho's journey from his native country to Nuaantara and became one of the pioneers of the entry of Chinese ethnic migration to this archipelago.

The museum has a statue of Admiral Ceng Ho on the front yard on the edge of the lake overlooking the lake and bridge that is still under construction.

On the front porch of the museum there is a pedicab which is a past means of transportation which was originally driven by Chinese in this archipelago.

Entering the front door we will be greeted by 2 replicas of the Lion Dance which characterize the Chinese game in various ceremonies both welcoming the Chinese New Year, welcoming guests of honor, inauguration of new buildings and others. Both of these Lion Dance stand flanking the current image of the president and vice president.

Next we will be invited to take a tour to see a space containing different themes. There is a picture of the Indonesian president from the first to the present and a description of each contribution to the development of the Chinese community so far referred to as Chinese in Indonesia under their respective images.

Then there are objects related to the life of Chinese people in Indonesia starting from the arrival of Admiral Cheng Ho. There are also notes on the development and rebellion of Chinese citizens who sided with the indigenous archipelago against Dutch colonial rule. As well as notes on the involvement of Chinese citizens in Indonesia in the struggle and development of Indonesia's development ranging from rebellion against Dutch colonialists, the use of Chinese homes in Rengas Dengklok in the preparation for the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the participation of several Chinese citizens in the battle for independence and recognized as Indonesian freedom fighters, and the role of Chinese citizens in various fields such as sports, education, government and various other fields in filling Indonesia's independence.

Amid the Cheng Ho Museum, there is a prayer altar for visitors who wish to pray for the spirit of Admiral Cheng Ho.
