The words 'animal exploitation' comes to mind. Absolutely terrible conditions for all animals involved and I feel awful for going anywhere near this place.

Yes, the guides are lovely but it doesn't make up for the conditions that these animals are being kept in.

This trip is part of the sea sports activities in Nusa Dua Bali. Visiting the turtles island farm is a great fun for the whole family and also it provides a brief and good learning lessons on how to rise turtles. We enjoyed our visit with an excellent tour guide that briefly explained all details about rising the turtles and other animals on the island. The visit is free of charge, yet it is optional to donate some money to take care of the island’s animals. Also, taking the glass boat is worthless and paying extra money for nothing.

I felt sorry for the turtles. I also felt like this was a manner to get money. After being there for a bit and no one there to greet or educate us, local women came from no where and handed out tickets with a 15000rp fee to feed the turtles. We never feed the turtles and food was not visible or given as a possibility feed turtles. Conditions are not favorable for the turtles.

This place is very small but for the low expectations it provides a great experience. You only pay a small nominal fee for maintaining the turtle nursery and you probably won't spend more than 30 minutes here. We come here regularly and the kids just love to see and feed the huge sea turtles.

CRUELTY - AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

4 turtles in a shallow tank ranging from a very large 50+ year old down to one that was maybe a foot in shell diameter. We were allowed to feed them seaweed and it was obvious they were starving, all fighting over the food and pushing each other with flippers. They seemed quite distressed, we swam with turtles in the wild in the Philippines and they were very relaxed and had eyes half closed as if drowsy; the turtles here were wide eyed and didn't seem relaxed at all.
Overall very sad. We went because they Turtle Conservation and Education centre nearby was closed due to Balinese holiday, I'm pretty sure any positive reviews for Turtle Park Jail are people who have inadvertently reviewed the wrong place.

We took as much of the seaweed available for feeding any time the lady went to see someone/do something else and fed the turtles as much as we could as they were clearly desperate.

Upon leaving the lady tried to get us to buy a souvenir but we declined and walked out (if it had been a genuine place to look after these beautiful animals we would have donated) we could hear her saying something in Balinese in a tone that did not sound pleasant.

Just another tourist trap. Sad to see how the turtles are kept. These kind of so-called eco friendly establishments should be closed! To get there you need to pass Bali's biggest landfill directly next to lagoons. So better not release the baby turtles into the waste water.

Really bad place. Poor turtles are captive, out of the freedom, live there only to be showed to tourists. One turtle is 50 years old, have to live there in distress. it's just cruel and inhumanly
