The hospital is now well managed. Parking lot is big with ticketing system. The service is also nice, all staffs are warmhearted and friendly. The facilities are great!

Honestly, really great hospital. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They were ready to treat me really quickly and took really good care of me. Was lucky to end up here!

I was charged 650% more for a "specialist fee" than we were quoted on phone. In 13 years of living in Asia, in three different countries, Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar was the lowest quality and most unprofessional experience I've had in medical care in Asia to date. The dermatologist showed up 15 minutes late and apathetically glanced at the affected area for no more than a minute or two (after we had already given her the previous diagnosis).

She then canceled the procedure, told to me to come back the next day, and when I went downstairs to pay, after waiting 15 minutes in an empty hospital just to get the bill, I was charged 650% more for a "specialist fee" than we were quoted on phone.

I assumed the negative reviews I read online were probably from from overly-fussy foreigners - they are unequivocally not.
Avoid this hospital like the plague.

Me I was transferred from another hospital because I got COVID positive test result before my appendix surgery. Since the previous hospital can't make it then I was transferred here in Sanglah. I was there from 14.00 till 18.30 with high fever 39-40°C and I'm getting really dropped. They didn't make any PCR test or other test because they are discussing for 5 hours. Btw next to me is a guy and kid with cancer treatments, how you dare to put me there as a medical procedures?
I was refused to stay in the hospital for quarantine and asked them to give me rejection letter and medicine to bring home but they give me a meals for COVID suspect and appendix infection a "gorengan" and spicy menu. So after an hour more I'm waiting but everything is not ready.

So my full day tour de Sanglah is great!!!

1. The biggest and probably the best hospital in Bali.
2. The doctor and staff are competent.
3. They use unique method that not smiling too much.. because they dealing with many people with many character.. so they decided to look scary so that they are not get abused by angry patient.
4. Yes, there may have been corruption.. but they thriving to eliminate that culture..
5. I'm so surprised that they serve really quick and straight to the point (not trying to blackmale me)..
6. This hospital is general hospital an serve thousands of rich and poor people everyday.. so If you are rich and have lot of money ho to Siloam (private hospital)..
7. The staff are vulnerable to bullying.. so please be patient.. if you act humble they will also serve carefully...
8. Food are so cheap around Rp. 6.000 - 12.000 per pack.. I really cannot believe it.

First time. We made appointment with skin doctor at 8am and we waited for 1 h 45mins, only to find out LATER the doctor was in surgery. None of the staff informed us, we had to ask every 10mins.

Second time. Got my vaccine done and i was impressed of how efficient n fast they were this time. It took less than an hour, normally you'd expect them to take the whole day to get it done.

There are emergency rooms with 24 hours doctors and nurses available to help. The emergency rooms are divided by sickness category. People with heart problem are not inroom group with who got accident treatment. Still, nothing is perfect, some areas need to be improved. As my experience, sometime awaits to get the X-ray equipment available, while it is in-use by inroom patient. The doctors and nurses doing very well. They do understand the priority, while all the patients ask to be first priority.
