In my own experience, I felt so dissapointed as I have booked the hotel through Agoda in which I have informed the hotel about my time of arrival that would be arround 7 am.. Arrived at the hotel at 7 am and greeted by the un-friendly hotel employee and informed that they could not make an early check in unless if I am willing to pay an additional surcharge at 100% as the room rate... Never in my life felt so dissapointed at the extreme surcharge just to get an early check in service.. My previous experience I have never found such ill filling surcharge rate.. the most expensive early check in surcharge I have received is at 50% of the room rate.. and I think its quite fair.. but never seen at 100% room rate... Would never recommend this kind of hotel to my relatives, friends and colleague... I have drop my plan to stayed at the hotel at that day as I felt dissapointed and decided to book my stay at the other more customer friendly hotel...
