Now I understand why the bad review from the guy below... he understood "all you can eat" as "bottomless pit", whereas I think it actually means "everything here is friendly for vegans" hahah...

Only because those words are not written *anywhere* in or in front of the restaurant, so this maps name is just completely misleading.

Anyway
the food is fine, very affordable, and very friendly service. I didn't enjoy the lack of options though; I was there at about 12pm. There are other places similar to this, so I would rather go somewhere with more choices - but also because I don't eat so much rice, and he was very gingerly scooping me the food (but was okay with giving me more when I asked for it).

Probably a strange request though, to order nasi campur and then forgo the nasi xD

Try Maiveg...

The best flavours on Bali so far! All vegan, really good taste, great staff and very cheap.

Name of the place can be confusing. It’s a nasi campur place which was super delicious at a very affordable price!

Over 2 months I've eaten in Medan, Bukit Lawang, Danau Tobo, Jogja, Ubud, Denpasar and Canggu at over 30+ restaurants, most of these rated at 4.5 over on Tripadvisor/Google. Mai Veg serves the best food I've had in all of Indonesia. It's ALL Vegan and they have loads of different dishes, buffet style. It's 15000 idr a plate and ice tea, orange, hot tea etc is on offer as well as free drinking water. It's simple and clean but the food is amazing: tofu curry, tempeh curry, two types of rice, mie goreng, mushroom sate, corn fritters, vegan chicken, pulled jackfruit, sambhal, doughnuts and more depending on the day. Mai Veg was the one silver lining of the cloud namely the Visa Extension farce which kept bringing us back to the Immigration Office in Denpasar (took 8 days in total btw). We came here 3 times and it was brilliant every time. I'm sure this place will catch on soon enough, go out of your way for this. I wish we had one in England.

A rip-off! Restaurant is called 'ALL You Can Eat'; and upon arriving I asked the guy what his ALL You can Eat buffet cost. He wrote down 17,000R. I ate two plates, and then he charged me 2x17,000 or 34,000R.. That is not ALL You Can Eat....what next.....calling it 'FREE FOOD' and then charging 17,000R for each plate?
