We were extremely happy with our 3 nights at Gunakaya Homestay.
Everything about our stay was beyond expectation. From room, which even had a separate small kitchenette, and wardrobe/dressing area right off the bathroom excellent shower with great water pressure. Bed and bedding was sooo comfortable, mattress and pillows of a very high quality. The rooms have been renovated to a high end quality. Lovely gardens, fabulous pool, not huge, but very adequate. Excellent location, easy walking distance to shops and beach.
Breakfast menu had local, American or English option....highly recommend the omelette.
Owner and staff all very friendly and eager to assist if needed. Highly recommended, and will stay again in the future.

Very friendly and hospitable staff, prices are fair, rooms are great. Can't say much more. Just a very decent place to go. Breakfast menu is not that variable, but I personally can live with it. 9/10

Fabulous place. Central location for EVERYTHING!! Quiet, large rooms and bathrooms with patios. Didn’t get to use the pool but was very clean and inviting. Definitely be back to stay again. Thanks

GUNAKAYA HOMESTAY is a truly exceptional place! Housed in a tropical garden the place is very quiet and very close to the beach! The staff is always available, open and very nice. The accommodations are very modern, functional and always very clean!

Great little homestay in Sanur. Definately not high end, but nice pool and owners are lovely Will definately be back

Beautiful place, good location, misogynist owner. Women traveling alone need to be cautious if staying for more than just a couple nights. The owner insisted that “he can come into my room whenever he wants because he owns the place”, after I politely declined him coming into my room again and again.
Other women had issues with him too.

We stayed with our grown children and it was a great place for a budget conscious traveller. The food for breakfast(included) was great, and the rest of the menu was good local food and cheap prices. Best beer prices in the area. They have bicycles for rent and scooters. Good prices for both. The short walk to the beach was nice and lots of other restaurants in the vicinity. I would stay there again.
