We went here for the grand opening. The atmosphere was chill and even though I didn't care for the copious amounts of cigarette smoke, I still had a great time.
First, the food. I don't normally care for fries so much, since too often they are just a device for whatever sauce I feel like having. The fries as presented were really tasty as seasoned and required no extra sauce. I probably ate too many of my wife's fries that she ordered for herself. I had the chicken wrap and they sort of prepared the chicken as a kebob on a spit sort of cooking/preparing method (I saw this behind the counter inside and it reminded me of how I used to see gyros back in the US) and it was simply delicious. Sooooo tender and juicy and very flavorful. I highly recommend the chicken wrap for this reason. I didn't have any of the desserts, but my wife enjoyed the (puddings, I think) she tasted, and normally she doesn't talk about stuff unless it's really good, so I take her at her word for those.
The drinks. I sampled a few of their homemade Arak spirits. From what I was told, they sort of make/mix it themselves. Whether that is true or they have it specially made for them (which is more or less the same end result) it was also easily the best Arak I've had since I have lived here in Indonesia. Normally, when I've had it before, it takes me a few glasses for the harshness to go away and it be pleasant each time (as in, the alcohol kicks in a bit to make me not mind the initial taste) but the stuff they served was pleasant right out the gate. So, if nothing else, their Arak makes it worth the trip.
Overall, this place was great. I don't know how often they will have live music (it was the grand opening, after all) but the food and drinks alone make this place worthwhile to visit again and again.
Sorry no pictures for this review, because all the pictures we took were of our group and not of the food/drinks. Sorry!
