Another Padang Resto we had try. RM padang Surya. The menu so variatif, the customer always full and the taste very Minang, rich of flavour. Im trying Ayam Pop, Dendeng Balado Sambal Hijau and some crackers called Jange ( Skin cow cracker with curry sauce ), all of it so mind blowing..

Located around benhil market, a line with several padang restaurants as well. The favorite here is dendeng batokok (quickly exhausted).
• Service: The waiter is quite good, only the cashier part is a bit judes, less friendly
• Price: A bit expensive, but quite comparable
• Taste: Good, portions are quite a lot like restaurants in general
• Cleanliness: Fairly clean
• Place: very spacious, there is room for smoking and not smoking
• Ordering System: Directly order at the waiter or request to be presented all
• Location: According to gmap

Payments can be cashless, but there is a minimum payment.

Taste****
There is a saying: judge the padang by its rendang. And for the most part it has its own trueness. So, I googling, like most of us doing in this day and age, and found that rendang in surya is rendang darek. Rendang darek, fyi, is rendang with blackened curry, because it has junten, pepper, chilli, and its hotness is more moderate than rendang pesisir, with redder curry, and more chili, i guess. So back to the resto food, its rendang is very moderate, there is lack of spiciness, and for me lack of savoury also. The good thing about the rendang is the meat is very tender. I'm also have fried paru or fried cow ling, it is very crispy, but again the level of savory is still under my tastebud level. For comparison, The rendang from bopet mini that located near the area i think more tasty.

Coziness****
This resto is one of the legendary padang resto in town. They first served their dished in 1960, so it has traditional padang resto outlook. I came in the morning, and i dont see any air conditioner, I imagined it will be a bit hot in the afternoon.

Price****
Rendang and paru with rice, and i got charge 52k, a bit much maybe for a padang resto, but for its taste and nostalgia, i think price tag will always be the last to be considered.

Besides their main menu of Padang course, that already unquestionably delicious, they also have fried rice and other menu. And in my opinion it's one of the best fried rice in Jakarta

Super delicious Padang Food.
Unfortunatelg the service is still messy. We need to ask the dish so they can serve it. Primary serve is not the special ones so we need to ask one by one.

When we were there, the place was very crowded... thats why for sure the food was very good and tasty.. recommend for you guys to try the padang food. For 2 pax around IDR 100k.
