The Manggala Wanabakti National Forestry Museum is the only forest museum in the DKI Jakarta Province. Standing on the hopes of the foresters there will be a forestry information and documentation center that records the history of the Indonesian forestry journey. It can even be used as a source of knowledge, especially in the field of forestry.
The museum has an area of u200bu200b1,466 square meters, was inaugurated on August 24, 1983 by President Soeharto. The museum's vision and mission is as a center for forest and forestry information and documentation in Indonesia.
The museum has a collection of 883 artifacts.The exhibits are 529 inside and outside the building.
This museum consists of two floors. The first floor contains a permanent exhibition of several forestry artifacts. The second floor contains photo and information exhibitions. The layout of the collection exhibition is presented according to the fields of forestry equipment, ceremonial means in the field of forestry, forest and forestry visualization, the results of forest wealth, the results of forest processing, and the struggle of women forces.
