This place is an important and inseparable witness to the history of the presence of this great Republic. Ir. Soekarno, the President of the Republic of Indonesia and a person who read the text of the proclamation of Indonesian independence, was exiled by the Dutch colonialists in this house for 4 years (1938 - 1942).
A fusion house of European and Chinese architecture, on Soekarno-Hatta street, RT. 05 RW. 02 No. 02 Anggut Atas village, Ratu Samban sub-district, Bengkulu city, Bengkulu province, originally belonged to a Chinese trader who supplied basic materials for the needs of the Dutch colonial government in Bengkulu. In this house which is a silent witness to history, there is still 1 unit of ondel bicycle, a set of chairs located in the living room, a dining cupboard and a dressing table.
