In terms of living conditions, you get what you pay for (not much space in the room, bathroom could be cleaner). However, they've earned every one of these 5 stars because their exceptional service is unmatched. They booked us a tour to Mt. Ijen, and Fu (the host) even came out in the middle of the night to see us off. When we got back, he was waiting to greet us and invited us in to his kitchen where his mother was cooking our breakfast. He was also very helpful with answering all of our questions, would sit and chat with other guests as well, and even gave us a free ride to the train station when we couldn't find a grab at 5am (a free ride, in Indonesia?!). I highly recommend staying with them!

Room seemed a bit smaller than the pictures, but we did got the cheapest one. Almost no water pressure, toilet worked fine. Lovely breakfast in the morning, you dont know what you get but it's homemade indonesian food. Delicious spiced coffee and friendly boys who are eager to help you around with good prices for scooterbike and trip to Ijen

Place is great itself but a bit far from main street or place you can get a food. In the morning Pepito guest house provides good breakfast! Guys organize tours to Ijen so you can easily join! Or you can do it by yourself, just get a transport!:)

I give him good opinion only because staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed in family room. This room has really low standard but I heard that the other rooms are better. Pepito speaks english and it is really important on Java.

The rooms are in the basement with no light and a lot of moisture. The VIP room at least looked like a room. The first room Pepito showed us was rather a former storage room with a bed. Nothing got dry and only cold water available. Luckily we did not sleep there during the night because we did the Ijen crater tour. In the morning we found a cockroach in the bathroom.

During the day there is not a lot around. Restaurants and Warungs only open late afternoon. The breakfast made by Mama was good but nothing special.

Perfect place to stay in banyuwangi. Easy to find, nice and clean, very very helpful owner. Will organize a tour to kawah ijen for a very reasonable price. Lots of eateries near by and everything you need. Would definitely recommend this place to everybody.

I really had so much fun with Pepito. We had such a great hosting with all the team. Trekking the Ijen and Bromo with Sam and Al'LuQman was amazing, they did a great job and made our trip incredible!! I highly recommend it!!
