Stayed 5 nights at Teddy's homestay. The place is great : clean, great breakfast, privacy : very good value. The homestay is surrounded by the fields, it's very relaxing. We slept very well. Above all, Teddy is a great host. Super friendly, he went the extra mile for making our stay the best possible. I strongly recommend it.

Great host, wonderful stay in Banyuwangi! Cozy place

Great place to stay if you are intending to visit Ijen or the surrounding national parks. Its a very laid-back homestay and you can get to restaurants/cafe by Grab/Go-Jek easily. Teddy was super hospitable and welcoming! Comfortable bed and the night here is very cooling so no worries about having no a/c.

After 4 months travelling and many many homestays, hotels and guesthouses I can say FOR SURE that this is the BEST place ever! Teddy and his wife are going to do everything you need to make your stay special. Not even mentioning the amazing breakfast teddy will arrange tours to ijen for a reasonable price and will tell you what to do in this area. We extended our stay and still didn’t want to leave. In my opinion the price could be even higher for these cute little bungalows and the hospitality you get. I would always come back and can highly recommend it!!

My husband and I have spent the past year traveling to 35 different countries. Teddy, your breakfast is the BEST we've had anywhere, and we would happily pay your wife for her banana pancake recipe. (The rooms and property were also excellent, but we are still talking about the banana pancakes several months later).

The word "Home"stay has been invented for this place: you feel at home within a second! That was our best surprise of our trip to Java-Bali-Lombok! We stayed one day more than expected (and could have stayed even more) not wanting to leave.

Teddy and his wife Wulan are amazing hosts: not only are they completely trustworthy but the place is really inexpensive for the high standard (In particular compared to other accommodations around the Ijen departure). The rooms are great, half external bathroom just amazing, the garden is a lovely piece of paradise surrounded by rice fields... everything done with heart and taste. Not even mentioning the tasteful Indonesian breakfast ????

My advice is to stop there at least for 2 nights. Teddy will arrange for you any activity at a fair price, you will be sure to have the best guides of the area, including himself for driving up and down to the Ijen departure, with a delightful stop to the cascades on the way back that can turn into a real adventure if you feel like it :)
I also felt it was an authentic insight in Banyuwangi region.

An amazing place! Awesome little rooms close to nature with a fantastic view to the rise fields. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts very friendly. I would definitely recommend it if you want to enjoy the area or to visit ijen krater.

Host is very welcoming, supportive and speaks english well,
View is specteculair,
Bungalow is cozy and clean!!

Forgot something?? They have it even anti mosquito stuff, sunscreen etc.

There is a free wifi for guests.

Everything is "Feel at home" style.

Me and my partner are impressed and very much satisfied! When we arrived our car broke down right infront. The owner just parked his car and immediatly came to help. While he was looking into our car I told him the car broke down right infront of the place we had booked he told us he was the owner.
Right away he let us place our stuff and assisted my partner to a garage!
