The people of this village are the real descendants of the Blambangan Empire. In 1965, this village was suspected as one of the main based of Indonesia Communist Party. Because of the history, the people of this village are struggling to earn their glory times back. Today, they live in difficulties as their existence aren't recognized by the government. Even more, the government is trying to re-new their culture by creating a new village in another area.
