Kalibaru Cottages is a nice, bike-friendly place for an overnight. The receptionist who to my surprise spoke quite passable Dutch, showed me to a place in the garden where I could wash my bike, and he arranged a packed breakfast so that I could start early. The rooms are good, and everything is working as it should. After a very cold and wet descent from Ijen, the blistering-hot shower was just the right thing for me. One minor draw-back is that the rooms do not have many power outlets, so you have to choose between charging your phone or switching on the bedside lamp. The food was good. Overall, I think there are few hotels in Indonesia who van beat the value-for-money score of Kalibaru Cottages!

i gave the rates based on price that i paid for this property or money value.
though they have some weakness here and there but for what i pay, it is worthy.
the room clean, though there is some spideweb here and there
the bed comfy, clean u0026 tidy.
the pillow comfy, clean, tidy and not smelly.
the linen also the same.
i book for the lowest category and it was great.
the garden looks amazing.
the service is good.
I was there after hike Mt. Raung, location wise is quite far from the base camp, but again...based on what i paid and considering there is not much proper accommodation around, this is s great choice.

the food quality is great.
i will definitely will stay there again if i have plan to hike to Raung in the future.

This is Cottage Hotel..the area is clean but in the room many bugs. Maybe because wood interior. Very cool weather especially in the morning. The breakfast is good

The food is great and fresh.. but they need to fix some parts of building, I can't sleep well cause of bugs activity on rooftop, small parts of woods has fallen on the bed every night. But other services is good
