From start to end absolutely amazing experience!!

Cant describe how well we were treated!! If i can rate this experience 10* I would gladly do it!
This was interesting because our host was beyond expectations!!
We were coming from Bali by ferry, Johan was waiting for us in the harbour, took us to his place, gave us coffee/ tea, at midnight we left on the mountain of course by car, the guide took us to see the volcano, guided us and took us interesting places specially to see the sunset and the lake from the top. After all this, Johan took us by car to see 2 amazing waterfalls, after we had coffee/ tea/ fried banana(mouth watering) again completely free.
Return was at his place where he offered breakfast+ coffee/ tea, around 1 pm he took us to the harbour to go back to Bali.
You know, when you meet someone for the first time you have the feeling you know that person for ages.....well this was the feeling I had when I met Johan.
Super friendly and funny guy! I would go back just to spend more time with .....
The trip? Well, super interesting but kinda tireRING. There is a lot to climb(basically walk uphill), also I suggest get some solid shoes if you have, there is no safety that you will not trip, you will descend on wet rocks....night time.
They will give you mask and torch. Difficult to breathe properly with the mask on but you will be fine.
The view and experience worth more than the effort of climbing and descending.
IMPORTANT: take water and some food with you, take something like 2-3 litres.
Highly recommended!!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable and we paid extra for Aircon, but already price was very good. Room was clean and so was the shared bathroom and shared kitchen. The staff were very eager to show off their barrister skills. And the owner was very friendly and organised a great tour to Ijen with a great guide and a waterfall.

Homestay that offer you a feeling like you're home. The owner "Pak Johan" is very friendly and helpfull. The room is clean. Breakfast also available. The air con and wifi work very well. There is no hot water, but you do not need it for sure.

We stay there for the Ijen tour. Everything was perfect organized. Very friendly and attentive owner. His Tour guide was also very attentive and bring us safe to the crater and back. I can absolutely recommend it

Great place, although sleeping options are rather basic. What makes it special though is the owner (Johan) who is really great. He organizes trips to Ijen and can tell You many things about it as well as Java itself.

Room was nice and good value, breakfast was really good. Owner was helpful but quite happily sold us a terrible tour to a national park for the same price as the Ijen one. Only do the Ijen tour from here. We were extremely disappointed but no refund or free Bintang was offered!!!

My friend was harassed by the owner several times, smelling her hair and touching her. He event went on her bedroom at night, blocking the door with his body. Ladies do not go there and be careful!!!
