The hostel itself is nice and new. I stayed in the 18 bedroom dorm room (no others were in it for my 3-night stay), which was extremely spacious. Each bed had an outlet and the mattress was very comfortable. The air-conditioning in the room worked very well, which was nice since it was extremely hot outside. It was also nice that their front desk was staffed 24 hours since I arrived by bus at 1:30 am. There were several Wi-Fi networks and the signal was strong everywhere I was on the property, but I think their internet provider might be quite slow at times.
My biggest complaint is that for it being the most expensive hostel I stayed at in Indonesia there were a lot of basic things that should have been in place, especially since it now seemed they were done "building" the place. The dorms do have "lockers" below the beds, but there is no latch to lock them. I was the only person in the room, so I wasn't too worried, but having someplace to lock your valuables is a must for a dormitory, especially one with 18 beds. There is no toilet paper in the bathrooms, even though there are paper holders. The breakfast was also the worst I had at a hostel in Indonesia, just slices of bread, honey, butter, marmalade, and coffee or tea. They also seem really strict on their checkout policy, I wanted to check out 1 hour later since the only air-conditioning is in the room, but they said I had to be out of the room at 12:00. No one even went in to clean it by the time I left an hour later.
