The most welcoming, friendly and warm family will welcome you at Banana Homestay. Me and my partner spend three happy nights at Banana and we could honestly say this is THE friendliest Homestay we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying.

We stayed at this place during our road trip to Lombok.
The bad :
- no AC so it could get quite hot but you’ll get a fan that helps a bit.
The good :
- the place is clean and comfy. Not shiny clean as in five-star hotel clean but clean enough you’ll feel comfortable.
- we had Indonesian breakfast and it was very very good. Could be the best we’ve had in a budget accommodation.
- the host is very helpful in arranging our transportation to Ijen. We had a great trip at a very reasonable price.
- location is near city center, easy to find food. But you can order food in this homestay if you don’t want to go out.
- there’s a stove you can use to make your own coffee or even to cook food.

The room is very nice but it's the owners who really make this place great. A husband and wife team who took me to Ijen and back on their motorbike then to the train station afterwards for a very reasonable price. (They have a car too) I'd definitely recommend staying here as a base for visiting Ijen independently.

WOW. I can’t think of another appropriate word to use for Banana Homestay. Value, hospitality, food (which outside of Bali, let’s be honest ????), amenities, helpfulness… all 10 stars. Our plans changed last minute and they were more than helpful! If you’re going to Ijen ????, then STAY HERE!!! ☺️

BTW when we decide not to do Ijen with a guide, we rented one of their moto’s, very reasonable price, good condition.

Very nice and clean homestay. Breakfast was amazing. Imran and is family were very helpful organising the tour to mount Ijen.
We will totally come back.

How can I put 6 stars, Fridah was so nice and also Dany and Imran. It is a simple accommodation, full of warmth of heart and just what you need. There is no airco but there is a fan and it does The trick. With the heat no need for warm water. Thank you Fridah
