Best place to stay in Banyuwangi, great vibe. Amazing staff that were like family. A funny, chubby dog called Maxi. Give him some belly rubs too.

Thank you to the staff for organising a great Mt Ijen trip, they are extremely helpful and will make your stay super relaxing and enjoyable. The communal areas are great, the beds in the dorms are nice and you will get a good sleep on them. Definitely recommend, I'll be back someday :)

RUDE STAFF, FELT UNSAFE! I was recommended to this place on Facebook and had planned to stay there whilst looking for a company to take me to Mt Ijen between yesterday and today. When I arrived yesterday, I was offered the room with air con. The woman, Sandy, I believe, didn’t ask me for any details so i planned to pay them at check out, after I’m back from the mountain and had a shower. I was informed by her too that if I’d go on Mt Ijen with them, I’d have to pay 300k for the trip, which I knew from recommendations was expensive. I told them I’d inform if I’d go on a trip with the homestay guides. I decided, with my room mates to go with a company which charged cheaper (250k) so we didn’t inform them and got to sleep early for an early start at 12am. Then at around 12am, whilst we were half asleep waiting for our van, a man comes storming into our room, shouting at me and the other two girls saying for us to remove all our stuff from the room RIGHT NOW. He had used many swear words and didn’t give us any way to talk back to us. He said we should leave in 10 min as he is the owner of the place and does whatever the f*** he pleases (not sure if he was the owner though). We had to take all our bags to the van that took us to the Mt Ijen, which is really unsafe and inconvenient, and we couldn’t return for a shower. The whole experience was awful and super traumatic - as three women travellers, we felt very unsafe!!! After this terrible experience( I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone! Of course I have not paid for my night, both because how I was treated and also because I/ my bags didn’t really stay the night!

RUDE STAFF, KICKED OUT WITHOUT ANY REASON -
After doing online research on a place to do the Ijen tour, I ended up at Aussie Osseng Homestay. I arrived late afternoon and I had to pay on arrival. Around midnight a man came storming into our room, he claimed to be the owner and said aggressively to me and my 2 roommates that we had to leave the homestay immediately. The words that the man used were rude and not worth repeating. After trying to find out what the problem was, we took our stuff and left. The reason why the man aggressively put us out, we still don't know. After reading the Google reviews, it turned out that two weeks ago the same situation occurred with a female guest. I would certainly not recommend this homestay, I and my roommates have felt very unsafe during the whole situation. I have not seen my money back.

Such a great place. Lots of room in the common area and a good, relaxed atmosphere. The staff was awesome and I would highly recommend doing tours with them.

This is an excellent place to stay. Very spacious, with a living room, TV, tables, big kitchen. The location is also very quiet. The family running the place is wonderful.

Wonderful , a nice place to stay for go to visit mt ijen (just one hour driving to ijen) the stuff is amazing always helpful, they alway find the way to let you smile . Really lovely place thanks

The owner and family's very friendly and take care of us ... love to comeback next time ... good place and clean !!!
