Whenever I go to Bandung, I always stop by Ola. I went there last week on 14 Feb 2020 with a friend to get some relaxing treatment. As usual, we were asked to take off our shoes, the therapists guided us to the massage booth and we changed into the proper massage attire.
As the treatment started, we noticed that both of our therapists were coughing intermittently and they sounded like they had a cold. After hearing my therapist coughed several times already, I asked whether she was allowed to do the massage if she was sick, and she replied that her throat was only itching.
Half an hour into the treatment, we grew very anxious and concerned about both the therapists' conditions. Although we were in separate booths, we could hear each other's therapist coughing, then we heard some employees at the spa coughed as well. We alarmed each other to stop the treatment and cancel the booking, given the concern over virus.
We got dressed and told the welcoming staff about our complain that Ola should have imposed a stricter SOP related to sick / unwell therapist, let alone when the whole world is facing a serious outbreak.
I hope this incident will alarm the management to improve their SOP and keep health and hygiene at the utmost level.
