The place is cozy. It feels like you are in a village. While you are waiting for the food, or after you eat but still want to take a break from the town, you can do some fishing in the pond. It is a recommended restaurant for a family, especially family with children above 5 years old. They can have experiment of fishing. The staffs are very kind and hospitable. If you have left over food, you can ask them to pack the food to take away. You can eat in the cottage or in the house. For the house, it has antique and rural vibe. The place is quite hidden with only small wood sign in front of a small descent path, so you better take a good look on the street or you can asked the staff if you get lost????
The food is very tasty, I love almost their food in the menu. For the Banana Blossoms cooked with coconut milk (lodeh jantung pisang) and the Indonesian tamarind vegetables soup (sayur asem) you can order in half portion, but the others menu can't. Their original Indonesian tamarind vegetable soup has sour taste, not spicy. But you can asked them to cooked it spicier if you want. The Indonesian aromatic spiced coconut rice with smelly bean/stinky bean (nasi liwet petai) is tasty, they use Medan's anchovies. I forgot to take a photo of today's food because I am very hungry????????, so i just insert the photos from my previous visit. Btw, you need to reserve to dine in here, also for take away too. They do not accept sudden visit or sudden order.
They have ice Telang flower water with lime syrup for their signature beverage/drink. If you mix the telang flower water (the color is blue) with the lime syrup, the color will change into purple. So it is like you do some science project and you can show to your children, and they can try to mix it themselves. The lime syrup is homemade. Instead of using the common sugar, they use cane sugar, without adding any preservative and artificial food coloring.
For the payment, they only accept cash, transfer, and shopee. It's my second visit, and I am very satisfied.
