A Good Local Seafood Restaurant in Balikpapan

Whether you're on holiday or on a business trip, this a good place to stop by for a local seafood feast.

The Boxfish Nuggets is one of their specialities. Boxfish flesh is cut into bite sized pieces and battered then deep fried. It's seasoned well enough so dipping sauce is not required.

The other things were the grilled squid which was cooked to perfection. The flesh was thick, tender and had a nice smokey char. The local mussels cooked in spicy sauce were plump and flavourful.

They have many other seafood available, so it's good to see what is available in the ice boxes before ordering.

While the price of food here might not break the bank, it cannot be said this this place is cheap, it is a comfortable place to enjoy quality fresh local sea produce.

Stayed for 3 days in balikpapan and tried dandito, ocean, and apong. For me, apong is a clear winner, all the food we ordered were fresher than fresh, and tasty. Price might be a bit higher than the other two, but they have much bigger selections of seafood beyond just crabs ans crabs. Now I know where to go next time i am around on the city

Today we try Sweet and sour fried squids which is favourite menu in Apong Seafood at Bali, good taste. And the grill Fish is served nice and good taste.
