We met the friendly local guide there... He described all mangroves things and activities that they have... Unfortunately the boat was not available to served that time... Maybe next time

Good tourism place. You can rent a boat and look around. If you are lucky enough you can see the monkeys jump and play around the trees. Also they say thay the water have lots of crocodile. But when you go around woth biat, the crocodile will hide since the boat have quite noisy sound. So it’ss totally safe to see and go arround this area.

This place has a beautiful sceeneries and very relaxing ambience. If you want to visit this place you better visit it early in the morning so you can catch up with Bekantan, an endemic animal of Borneo.

the boat tour is definitely a must! the scenery is very nice, if you're lucky you can see some Bekantan hanging on a tree(or some crocs on the river). the tour takes about an hour long. i recommend to go around 5PM if you want to enjoy the sunset!

Great place to visit. You can rent a boat and circling the mangrove conservation center and greeted by a great view around. You also can meet some proboscis monkey if you're lucky. Overall it's a totally worthy place for your visit.

A recomended place to see i Balikpapan esp. To see the bekantan monkey (probocis monkey).... a rare and endangerous species.. in kalimantan... in their natural place...
This mangrove center is located and not far from the center of the balikpapan city..
