Great place to stay, especially if you like to save money on accommodation!
Air conditioned rooms, shared pool and love the encouragement to interact with other stayers (shared house set up)
Brekky was included so was pretty satisfied til late lunch/early dinner
Staff were wonderful and very open to any issues I had (I wanted more ice and they got it for me haha)
They do transport to and from airport if driver availabile too
Good location to walk to Cantina Beach

Having Just returned fro a visit to the villa I have to agree with all of the positive comments that have been made regarding the breakfast, cleanliness and location ect.
Edwin and his staff ensure that your stay is comfortable and problem free attending to any problem that may arise.
Also the staff interact with the guests in typical friendly Balinese style and know all the guest by name.
The guest all intermingle and you get to make new friends from around the globe and you leave having made new friends, not something that will
happen at most other places.
Another big plus for me is the location, for me it is ideally situated for my requirements and a taxi will not break your budget if you need to venture father afield.

This review is based on price versus quality. No doubt about it, this place is quite affordable. I stayed here for ten days: First 7 nights was a single private room with a shared bath, the last 2 nights I moved to a dorm room.
A very pleasant stay in August, I must say! No rain. The sights were interesting and colorful. Cozy atmosphere, super friendly people, the villa was clean and well maintained. Even the communal showers.

Love the breakfast here. Impressive choices of fresh fruits, bacon, omelet, cheesy chicken sausages, pancakes, Phad Thai with seafood, fried vermicelli, chicken curry with prata bread. etc.
As for dinner, I liked the satay skewers. Flavorful, tender and juicy. This place is good eats and great value.
You shall also try the massage here. The residential masseurs are amazingly well trained.

Host and his staff are always eager to be helpful. There's a great sense of community when you arrive at this place where guests welcome and organically get to know each other. Breakfast is always a highlight due to the great food and friendly non-judgmental conversation. The place is homey and clean.

I went to Villa Layang Bulan for the third time and I do not get tired. The staff is very friendly, and the owner Edwin did everything to make guests feel comfortable. In addition Edwin prepares a hearty breakfast. The rooms of different surface types can offer a range of prices to be increased from every pocket. The villa is only five minutes walk from the beach, close to restaurants, ATM, as exchange services and many spas for men. I have already booked for the month of March 2017 (for the fourth time).

I was recommended by an Australian friend working in Singapore. He is
a frequent visitor here. A great base in Bali for relaxation, eat-out,
therapeutic massages and making new friends from all over the
world.True to what he told me. It is a lovely villa with friendly
staff and guests. Everybody talks to each other. We even go for
sightseeing together and share the cost of the driver and vehicle
provided by the villa.

Villa is well managed, clean and near to main road and beach.

Stayed at Villa Layang for 4 weeks Dec 2018 - Jan 2019. I found the villa to be an exceptional venue where to spend my vacation. My accommodation was well furnished clean was attended to daily by the wonderful villa staff and was charged reasonable rates. Edwin supplied a choice of mouth watering breakfasts from his menu, also catered for additional gourmet evening meals at my requests, organising a New Year Eve dinner for his guests. As I was unfamiliar with the environment Edwin took time out to supply me with a map of the district it’s location to restaurants and the nearby beach. Edwin was always available to meet his guests, arranging two tours and shopping expeditions for myself and other guests. The guests from different locations around the world where extremely friendly and approachable at all times and always took the time to speak to other guests.
I would certainly endorse Villa Layang a venue to spend ones vacation.
