They stole my pillow case when they did my laundry. Moisture in dorms due to shower door not closing. There was nobody around to ask the loud English girls to be quite. Shouting outside of dorms until 6 am. The owner was actually really nice so I wasn't going to write a review but I did have a bad time.

beautiful clean hostel with the most comfy huge beds ! ????
It’s super cheap and the location is perfect just 15 min walk to echo beach.
The owners are hanging around all day and are very friendly ????

It’s definitely not the most quiet place but also not party 24 hours

Very nice, chill hostel, very comfortable only 4 people live in 1 room with ac and private bathroom. They have good and very cheap food.

Good hostel at a reasonable price compared to other, pricier locations in Canggu.
Likes - lovely pool and an intimate setting, with all dorms opening up to the pool area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and cheap (20k-40k for most meals). Showers are great.
Dislikes - top bunk is much worse than bottom, all the doors are hard to close/lock, and scooter parking situation is frustrating and not ideal.

Good location. Good facilities. Cleanliness is good enough but could be better. Beds were lovely and quite large. Has a nice pool and areas to relax/eat/drink. Nice staff. I liked the design and aesthetics of the building.
Two weird things I noticed:
The hostel inexplicably changed its name from The Flying Pig to Tropical. Staff didn't know why.
I've a feeling that one of the two 5-star reviews on this page are fake. Overly positive and the only review ever made by the account.

Absolutely loved Tropical Canggu Hostel. The central pool area is lovely, great food for brekkie, super chilled and friendly staff. We met some amazing people here and returned again after visiting other parts of Bali. Bedrooms were simple but clean and tidy. Music stayed on until about 11pm but then they turned it off, which I think is a good compromise for a hostel where people want to enjoy themselves! Then people went out to party! Would definitely return :) Good value scooter hire too!

I had such a wonderful friendly time at tropical. The hostel homestay is around a centerpiece of pool and social area. The price is really great considering the quality and cleanliness. The are 12 rooms that are all 4 bed dorms and lucky for us it was a quiet time.
